Not for the Wealth the world affords,

Not for the pleasing task,

Not for the fame or rich rewards,

These are the Gifts I ask

Courage to take the rugged road,

To face the uphill way.

To falter not when trouble comes,

Hope when despair holds sway.

Strength to go on when strength gives out,

Vision when darkness falls,

Ears to hear when the still small voice

Through fire and earthquake calls.

Faith to follow the hidden trail,

Right to the journeys end.

These are the gifts I ask, that God

Into my life might send.                                  Author unknown.
